Do you have a question about the New Pension System?
New rules for pensions have been in force since 1 July 2023. These new rules are included in the Future Pensions Act. Because of these new rules, your pension plan will change. The new pension plan must take effect no later than 1 January 2028. On our website you can find a lot of information about what you can expect.
As pension is an employment condition, the employer (Mars) and the Works Councils are the first to make agreements about the new pension plan. They are currently negotiating those agreements. The pension fund is not responsible for the content of the new plan, but is closely involved and supports Mars and the Works Councils with information and advice.

Do you have a question about the Future Pensions Act for the board of Mars Pension Fund? Please send it to communicatie@blueskygroup.nl. One of our board members will answer a set of questions. The answers will be shared on our website soon. Please note: the board members cannot answer questions about personal pension situations.

How does working part time affect your pension
The amounts you set aside for your pension are based on your salary and the number of hours you are working. Here goes: do you decide to work more hours? In this case, your pension accrual will increase. And if you start working less, even if only temporarily, your pension accrual will decrease. A good thing to consider if you are faced with the choice of working less. You can always choose to save a little extra for your pension yourself, outside the Mars pension plan, in order to have a sufficient pension later on.
Also worth knowing paid parental leave does not affect your pension. Your pension accrual remains at 100% during paid parental leave.
