The new pension rules were supposed to take effect from 1 January 2023. However, handling in the Lower House requires more time. And after treatment in the Lower House, the Upper House also still has to consider the new law. Minister Schouten expects that, if everything goes according to plan, the Future Pensions Act will take effect on 1 July 2023. As previously reported by us, it remains to be seen whether this change in the law will affect your pension. After all, the pension fund is a closed fund with no active employer, which means there are no options within the proposed legislation to move to the new system. The board will continue to closely monitor developments surrounding the pension agreement and report to you in a timely manner. What does this mean for your pension right now? At the moment, nothing about the pension plan is changing. We will continue to administer your pension and retirement benefits according to the current plan. We will, of course, keep you informed about developments. |
